Assisting with Medications for Support Staff provides a foundation for better ensuring staff understand the principles of key medication classes, their effects, actions and administration procedures while minimizing risk and maximizing safe practice. Completion of this course does not allow staff to make medication decisions nor make changes to prescribed medication regimes but will prepare them to identify adverse reactions and monitor the well being of those they support.
