ADR-Making Meetings Work: Virtual Meeting (Pre-recorded)

When collaborating as a team, it is natural for providers and families to have differences in opinion or perspectives. Sometimes, these situations may escalate into a State compliance complaint or due process filing. The California Department of Education has documented that the number one reason why parents go this route is because they did not feel heard at the site level. This conflict-resolution training will give staff the tips and tools for having challenging conversations with colleagues and parents at the site level. Come learn how to manage difficult situations and maintain positive partnerships between members of your team and your student's family. Please note that these training events are not special education specific and can be open to any staff who works within the WSGV SELPA member districts.
